Valerie Lighthart

A journey from a strange childhood to a creative adult life. 

Valerie Lighthart is a multi-faceted artist who creates music, film, and long-form fiction.

Her passion for creativity and song was driven from a young age and a childhood filled with tightly held dreams. At 11, she began writing long-form fiction, which spurred on an artistic awakening.

At 15, she entered the film and photography realm. She began production assisting on larger projects, and directing smaller ones with the international boat racing team The US A-Team. Between 15 and 21, this work would see her craft documentaries everywhere from Boston to England to Sweden.

At 18, she deepened her love of visual art through entering the modeling scene, collaborating with local photographers and honing her craft.

At 20, she found her home within musical creation, releasing 'I'll Be Damned,' a collaboration with electronic production duo Immortal Girlfriend. In music, she found her calling, a way to free her voice, and marry her love of visual arts with her passion for singing & songwriting.
